Alexander Lukas Bieri (*1976) started working for Roche Group Holdings in 1994. In 2000 he was appointed to the position of Curator of The Roche Historical Collection and Archive, also assuming responsibility for the architectural heritage of Roche. Since 2014 he also is the publisher of Editiones Roche, Roche’s in-house publishing branch which produces books on themes ranging from science to history and art history. He also curates a variety of Roche in-house museums and is organising exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. In his capacity as a specialist for 20th century interior design, he is a member of ICOMOS Switzerland. Currently, he is chairman of the Section on Business Archives of the International Council on Archives, member of the board of the German Business Archivist’s Association (VdW) and chairman of the working group on archives of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry of the VdW.

Tracey Panek is the Historian for Levi Strauss & Co. and Director of Archives at the company’s world headquarters in San Francisco. She manages the day-to-day workings of the Levi Strauss & Co. Archives as a key corporate asset, answering historical questions, assisting designers, brand managers, executives and other employees whose work requires historical materials in the Archives. She regularly hunts for unique vintage Levi’s® garments and other unusual Levi’s® items to add to the Archives.
Tracey is a contributor to Unzipped, the company’s blog, writing about company history, vintage Levi’s® garments, and behind-the-scenes work in the Archives. She narrates the video series From the Levi’s® Archives on YouTube and From the Levi’s® Archives on TikTok. Tracey is the media spokesperson for Levi Strauss & Co. heritage.

Carol Quinn

Based in the Distillers Cottage in Midleton, Carol cares for the historical archive of Irish Distillers. These include the records created by the firms of John Jameson & Son, John Power & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company and, after they merged in 1966, Irish Distillers itself, dating back to the eighteenth century.
Carol manages the physical housing and maintenance of the archives. The individual items, once cleaned and assessed, are transferred to one of 5 purpose-built strong rooms in the repository. The second facet of Carol’s job is to alert colleagues to the information in these records and how it may be relevant to the current business workings of the company. To this end she works with the various brand teams, Irish Distillers’ legal department and the brand homes, filling out the brand histories as she uncovers new material and answering queries as they arise.
Carol worked for 16 years as an Archivist for University College Cork, before joining Irish Distillers in 2012 and is a former Chairman of the Archives and Records Association, Ireland. She also served for two terms on the National Archives Advisory Council, the body which advises the relevant Minister on matters relating to the National Archives of Ireland. She has been active throughout her career in promoting the use of Archives in Ireland and is a passionate believe in the value of Corporate Archives in supporting the activities of commercial bodies.

Prior, he was head of communication at Voddler and pr-consultant at Springtime (Stockholm), developed teaching cases at Harvard Business School’s European Research Center (Paris) and ran online language learning projects at EF Education (Boston). He holds a M.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Since 2022, Dawn Stewart has worked within The Macallan Hertiage team, supporting the business in brand marketing through storytelling and content creation while ensuring the legacy of the business which has existed for 200 years.
She received her undergraduate Master of Arts in German and Russian from University of Glasgow in 2009. After graduation, Dawn volunteered at Glasgow Women’s Library where she got her first experience of working in archives. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Information Management and Preservation in 2011. At the same time, she continued volunteering in various archives including Glasgow Print Studio and the Ballast Trust, gaining a wealth of experience. In 2012, she became archivist for HarperCollins Publishers, overseeing the day to day running of the archive as well as undertaking internal and external outreach.

Dr. Andrea Hohmeyer studied German and History as well as Political Science at Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main, where she also received her doctorate.
In 1994, she joined the chemical company Degussa AG as a corporate archivist. Since 2001, she has headed the archive of the Group.
Andrea is responsible for the strategy of the Corporate Archives as well as the continuous expansion of this huge knowledge pool and its services for internal and external users. In addition, she is also operationally active.
Andrea is Deputy Chairwoman of the Association of Business Archivists (VdW e.V.) and a member of the Steering Committee of the Section Business Archivists in the International Council on Archives (ICA).

His dissertation focuses on strategic management of historical assets in long-living organizations. He is a co-author of a handbook for educators titled “History and Human Rights,” published by the Karta Centre Foundation. His academic background includes a Master’s in Law from Marie Sklodowska-Curie University, Lublin, as well as postgraduate studies in innovative economic policies at the University of Warsaw. In recognition of his work as a corporate historian, he was nominated in 2023 for the “BohaterOn” award.

Anna Cento is the Museum Curator for the corporate museum MUMAC, the Coffee Espresso Machine Museum of Cimbali Group. The key responsibility of her job is to manage and promote the heritage of the most important coffee espresso professional machine collection worldwide. The last main projects she gave her contribution in, were the creation of the book “SENSO ESPRESSO Coffee. Style. Emotions.”, an homage to the Italian culture and the espresso ritual and the MUMAC restyling project 2022 to celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Cimbali Group and the 10th Anniversary of MUMAC.
Anna earned an MA in Economics and Museums and Exhibition Events Management and a Bachelor in Economics and Cultural Heritage Management from Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University in Milan.
Anna will discuss the MUMAC Digital Caveau project, focusing on the development of a corporate culture that views the archive not only as a repository of memory but also as a dynamic and vital tool for research and analysis. “As custodians of our business archives, it is imperative to prioritize their protection and accessibility, ensuring they remain invaluable resources for future generations to study and learn from”. The presentation will also highlight examples of how digitizing our historical heritage has led to a more Heritage Marketing-focused approach within the company, from creating gadgets and brochures linked to the brands to contributing to the launch of the new corporate identity logo rebranding.

My PhD course, which began in November 2023, is dedicated to the theme of business archives from the point of view of design. My research is in fact dedicated to the valorisation of the physical & digital documentary heritage of Ferretti Group’s historical archives, in particular the RIVA model.

Kenneth has previously worked and taught in two higher institutions in Nigeria. In 2024, he served as a peer review expert for the German based ACQUIN Accreditation Commission, participating in an international program accreditation procedure for Al-Farabi Kazakh University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. Specifically, he contributed expertise to the accreditation evaluation process for the following programs: Digital Archiving and File Management (Bachelor’s degree), IT Archiving and Document Management (Master’s degree), and Library Information Systems (PhD).
Kenneth holds a position on the advisory board for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) Subject Benchmark Statement (SBS) Reviews 2024-2025. Where he sits on the advisory review sub-group specializing in Librarianship, Information, Knowledge, Records, and Archives Management programmes.
He is particularly interested in research that talks about Archives and Records Management and Information Governance good practices can help to improve accountability, and transparency, promote good governance, and improve service delivery in both public sector organisations. He is also interested in research around Computational Archiving; Digital Preservation; Information Storage and Retrieval Systems; AI in Libraries; and Health Librarianship.

Her Bachelor of Science degree was in Public Administration from the University of The Gambia. Maimuna obtained several certificates in Management Studies, Leadership, Records, Archives, and Information-related courses attended locally and internationally. Maimuna managed public records of various institutions in The Gambia Government before her current role as head of the Current Records directorate at the Gambia National Records Service Headquarters. Her duties include monitoring the Public Records Offices, training the Records Staff, establishing and upgrading Records Offices, and managing the centralized Keyword System in the Gambia’s public sector.

Robin works for the Centre on technical, scientific and industrial heritage in Flanders, Belgium. His job involves supporting and reaching out to businesses to take care of their ‘company heritage’. This includes but is not limited to the archives, objects (machines, equipment, packaging, products, …) and the intangible aspects (knowledge in hands and heads, but difficult to document). As a neutral party (organization has no own collection) he bridges the archival and museumsectors to link them up with businesses and their heritage, and vice versa. The aim: stimulate awareness for the intrinsic value of company heritage, instill a sense of responsibility that extends past the company for taking care of this material and aim at sharing this wonderful stuff with a broader audience.

She is the first archivist the company has ever had and she works with the brands; Absolut Vodka, Kahlúa and Malibu. Creating and building up an archive organization was the main goal to start with; collecting bottles, documentation and doing research for all the three brands. Later lifting up the brands with History Marketing has become the priority. Her daily work together with the marketing teams contains of creating historical content for social media and spreading the legacy of the brands within the company but also worldwide.
